ABOUT COREEN
Yoga for me is a treatment I give myself, a time to go inward, listen to my body, move my breath through the painful parts, and slowly let go of stressed muscles or negative energy.. In this stillness, this state of conscious awareness I can recognize hidden emotions, forgotten and stored inside and consciously release them from my body making peace with my past. In yoga I have learned patience and acceptance of my ever changing body.
In my teaching I like to inspire people to find their own yoga practice, where they learn to do yoga in their own rhythm and become quiet enough to hear what their body is telling them. I love the energy that is created when people are together in deep silence; creating a simple state of presence together. I think this is my favorite part about teaching. For the rest I love offering people the tools that have helped me in my life to keep my mind and body flexible and my spirit vibrant.

Coreen Hartley
I love helping people find ways of using yogic practices to help them with their physical or mental ailments, doing my best to teach people, not just the poses.
For half of my adult life I was a Circus and Physical Theater performer. It was actually through learning yoga that I gained the confidence to start circus training and get back into my body. My yoga practice accompanied me throughout the world as I travelled extensively with my performances. I would teach workshops in Acro yoga , aerial yoga, and power yoga focusing mainly on the physical aspects and trendy off shoots of this ancient practice.
In 2010 I travelled to Indai to do my 200 hour Teacher Training at Yoga Vidya Dahm Gurukul in Nasik; Maharashtra. It was here I learned to teach tradutional Hatha Yoga. This training brought me to a turning point in my life internally. My teaching changed and the focus became more inward and receptive to the energies and emotions that would arise during my practice. I continued to do shows and would teach in the winter months until about 5 years ago where I started to put more emphasis on teaching Yoga .
I also studied Shiatsu and Massage Therapy, and I offer treatments of “Yoga massage “which
is am imtuitive mix of all of the healing practices I have learned throughout the years.
I have been practicing Qi Gong since it waas introduced to me by a Qi Goong master I had the pleasure of meeting whilst staying in China. Every summer I take a 5 day Oi Gong immersion in the south of France. I love the integration of the Chinese medicine meridian systems of and the Yoga assanas. Yin Yoga is my favorite style of yoga to teach and to do in my self practice.
I integrate breathwork, (Pranayama), and meditation in all of my classes and feel they are tools none should live without. Presently I am passionate about the "Wim Hof Method" which involves breathwork and cold exposure and I practice this daily. I love physical and mental challenges that bring me deeper into my body and help me to acheive higher states of conciousness.
